CfBT in Betong, Sarawak

CfBT supports LEDC in scoping and launching of the Layar Literacy and STEM Coaching Initiative.

March 2026 -The ELTP Co-Directors and some CfBT teachers were in Betong, Sarawak from 16–18 March to support the scoping and launch of the Layar Literacy and STEM Coaching Initiative.

This collaboration between CfBT and the Layar Education Development Committee (LEDC) brings coaches, trainers and teachers together to strengthen literacy, numeracy and STEM teaching in rural schools where English is not the first language.

During the visit, the team conducted baseline assessments, engaged with teachers and school leaders, and gained valuable insights to ensure the initiative is relevant and impactful.
